Helvetica

There's a documentary on SBS tonight called Helvetica.

It sounds interesting:

Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which recently celebrated its 50th birthday) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives.

So put your computer down and watch TV! :)

Oh yes there was too. I didn't watch it but when I went to bed Mr Sadieandlance informed me that he watched it in honour of a designer friend of ours. And uncharacteristically he even enjoyed it! He informed me that he will be using Helvetica from now on so he can assert more authority in his emails!!

I watched most of it (missed the first bit). It was so interesting to see how a message can be conveyed simply just by using the right font.
